The casework has recently been refinished in what appears to be satin black polyester and is one of the best we have seen - it is so good it looks almost like new

Most importantly, this piano has had an entire new Steinway action fitted, including action rails, repetition levers, hammers shanks and rollers - a whole new action on top of the original keyboard, which has also been fully rebushed, backchecks replaced, all moving parts fully renovated. As a result the action feels like playing a new piano - very smooth and responsive. This is a very expensive process to do, costing around £10,000 for the parts and labour, but is well worth doing as the action feeling is so much better than the cheaper option of just replacing the hammers and refurbishing the original parts

The piano has been restrung in the past and remains in good solid internal condition, with a rich tone through all registers
