We are not just a piano shop. We are a technology driven business specialising in the online sale of pianos, and work in partnership with many of the largest shops in the UK and Europe to quality check, refurbish and remarket their excess stock, part exchange & home rental pianos all at fantastic prices. By cutting out the expensive city centre showroom premises, shopfloor staff, and leveraging our purchasing power as one of the largest buyers of secondhand & refurbished pianos in the UK, we can keep our costs down and pass the savings on to you, whilst still maintaining the quality of service and quality of piano that you would expect

We are also one of the largest suppliers of pianos for sale and hire to the film industry, and our pianos have featured in blockbuster films and TV shows for many of the main studios

  • Technicians

    Our team of highly skilled technicians ensure all pianos are serviced to a high standard and free from defects. All of our technicians completed traditional apprenticeships in the past, mostly with Steinway and Bluthner, and many continue to maintain their skills undergoing specialist courses on the latest techniques and developments for pianos such as Steinway & Sons, Yamaha, Bösendorfer, Schimmel, Fazioli and more. From tuning through to voicing and regulation, our technicians are committed to making each piano sound its best

  • Restorations

    We restore a significant number of pianos every year from Steinway, Bosendorfer, Bluthner, Bechstein and also more niche manufacturers, giving a second life to pianos which are beyond their prime. Light restorations such as restringing, action renovation, casework repairs etc are undertaken in our own workshop. For more substantial restorations including soundboard repair/ replacement, total action replacement, new polyester casework, marquetry and special commissions we work with many of the leading restorers both in the UK and abroad.

  • Piano Moving

    Our moving teams undertake hundreds of piano moves every year, the equivalent distance of driving around the world five times, or halfway to the moon. No job is too complicated, with multiple flights of stairs, large upright & grand pianos up tight turning stairs and extremely long distances a weekly occurrence. We once collected two concert grand pianos on consecutive days, one a few miles from Land's end, the other close to John o'Groats. Other regular jobs include crane access piano delivery, European piano moves and international air & cargo freight.

  • Management & Back Office

    Our back office team are all current or former professional musicians, in addition to being highly skilled professionals in the fields of business management, marketing and web development. With wide ranging experience working for some of the largest luxury brands, arts organisations and tech startups in the world at senior management and director levels, our team are working hard to take Pianoz.com to new levels.
