Kemble Pianos was a British piano manufacturer that was founded in 1911 by Michael Kemble. The company was originally called Kemble & Company and was based in London. In the early years, Kemble & Company focused on importing pianos from Germany and France, but eventually, they began to produce their own pianos in England. The company quickly gained a reputation for producing high-quality pianos that were both affordable and reliable.

During World War II, the Kemble factory was severely damaged by bombing raids, but the company was able to rebuild and resume production in 1946. In the post-war period, Kemble Pianos became one of the largest piano manufacturers in the United Kingdom, with a wide range of piano models to suit different needs and budgets. The company was known for its innovative design features, such as the introduction of plastic keytops and the use of laminated soundboards, which made their pianos more affordable and durable.

In 1987, Kemble Pianos was acquired by Yamaha, one of the world's leading piano manufacturers. Under Yamaha's ownership, Kemble continued to produce high-quality pianos, but with the added benefits of Yamaha's technology and expertise. However, in 2009, Yamaha announced that it was ceasing production of Kemble pianos due to changing market conditions. Despite the end of production, Kemble pianos continue to be highly valued by musicians and piano enthusiasts around the world for their exceptional quality and affordability.
