An incredibly rare Kimball 200 VC grand piano from the 1980s
Kimball owned Bosendorfer in the 1980s, and produced a series of officially licensed pianos based on the Bosendorfer piano designs, called the Viennese Classic series (VC). The iron frame is almost identical to the Bosendorfer 200, with just a few simplifications such as conventional stringing rather than individual stringing, and a fixed capo d'astro bar. As a result, this piano has very similar tonal characteristics to the Bosendorfer 200, which is one of the finest 6ft grand pianos ever produced
At 200cm long, this piano is a full size grand piano and has a fantastic bass and depth of tone. We have had a number of these pianos over the years and this one has the nicest voicing setup out of any we have played. This piano was formerly owned by a theatre, and has been very well maintained as a result
Black polished case in fairly good condition overall with some wear and tear in line with being in a theatre
A 1980s Bosendorfer 200 retails for around £40,000, and the new ones are £105,000, so this is a rare opportunity to get a piano which offers a significant level of performance ability and 'Bosendorfer-ness' for around a quarter of the usual price
88 keys, 3 pedals
Suitable for grades 1-8 and professional standard pianists
2 year warranty
