Rivals - Disney

We were delighted to supply four grand pianos for Series 2 of the hit Disney series Rivals. Our instruments appeared throughout the series, helping to create the lavish and dramatic atmosphere that has made the show such a success. It's always exciting to see our pianos finding a place in film and television, but this project certainly provided a few memorable moments.

The standout scene for us has to be one involving David Tennant and one of our grand pianos. Without giving too much away, viewers may have spotted the piano playing a rather unconventional supporting role during one of the series' more intimate moments. It's not every day that you see a grand piano used quite like that on prime-time television, and it certainly gave us a laugh when we first watched the episode.

What makes the story even better is the piano's history. Before finding its way onto a television set, this particular grand piano was owned by a church, accompanying hymns, weddings, and community events. We can't help but wonder what the congregation would make of its latest starring role. From leading Sunday services to appearing in one of television's raciest dramas, it's fair to say this piano has enjoyed a remarkably varied career!
