A Bosendorfer 200 grand piano in a dark wood case from around 1920
This piano was remarkably in one family ownership since new, having been passed down two generations
The piano has been restrung and action renovated at some point in the distant past, and remains in solid playing order with stable tuning and a great tone. We have done a further light refurbishment and thorough regulation and voicing on the action to get it to good playing order (this piano has the conventional modern roller action, the best type, and not the older, inferior viennese action)
The casework has some fading and patina from time, but this is fairly consistent all over the piano so there is not a large difference in colour shade across the piano
The internal design of the Bosendorfer 200 has remained almost unchanged for the past 100 years, the design is one of the finest Bosendorfer ever made
Overall, a great piano for someone who wants a rare fullsize Bosendorfer grand piano for the fraction of the usual price, which can be enjoyed and played perfectly well as is, or fully renovated in time which will enhance its aesthetics and add to the financial value significantly
Please note pictures were taken before cleaning and servicing, the keytops in particular will be cleaned and buffed as they are grubby, and the inside of the piano thoroughly cleaned
88 keys, 2 pedals
