A Steinway Model A grand piano in a dark mahogany case
This piano was fully restored in the 1970s and remains in solid playing condition, with very stable tuning and an incredible rich tone through all registers, in particular the bass is exceptionally warm
The piano has been played relatively little since it was restored, and the action is in extremely good condition for its age, very smooth and even and rare to find one that feels so good
Dark mahogany case with some wear in line with age but a very attractive instrument overall
Original material keyboard in good condition
When newly fully restored we sell these pianos for around £30,000. We bought this piano with the intention of restoring it, but actually the condition is so good it doesn't need it - restoring the piano is unlikely to change the sound as it already sounds great, it would just make it nice and shiny. This piano will give many decades of service as it is, and of course the option is always there to restore the piano again in the future, safe in the knowledge that Steinway pianos are an appreciating investment
