A Broadwood baby grand piano in an oak art case
This is an extraordinary piano and is believed to have been designed by the noted architect Sir Edwin Lutyens. Lutyens designed a series of grand pianos which were produced by Broadwood, including one which is now on display at the Victoria and Albert museum in London, and another (in miniature) which is in the Queen Mary's Dolls house in Windsor Castle. This piano is slightly later at 1924 but clearly follows the same design lineage and traits. We are awaiting the records from the Broadwood archive to confirm
