A Bechstein Model A small grand piano (180cm) in a mahogany case

This piano was received in part exchange and is being sold at a bargain price as it is not quite up to our usual standards cosmetically

However, the piano is in extremely solid condition structurally, which is relatively unusual for Bechstein pianos. There are no visible cracks in the frame, wrestplank, soundboard or bridges - a clean bill of health. To anyone familiar with Bechstein pianos, this is quite extraordinary and a very rare find

Some marks, a cup ring, and a few little bits of missing veneer on the casework, but it is still very attractive overall with a dark varnish that was clearly refinished in the last 10-20 years

The action has been renovated at some point and plays well

Tuning stability is very good, and the tone is excellent throughout all registers

Overall, a superb piano and a real bargain at this price - in perfect cosmetic order these pianos are worth anything up to £8-10,000
