A Kemble Windsor upright piano in a high gloss wood case, handmade in the UK in 2002/2003

This piano has had one private owner since new and has only been very lightly used - the hammers and action are like new

These pianos are essentially a Yamaha but handmade in the UK in the Yamaha owned Kemble factory to arguably higher standards than the Japanese models, and voiced to a more 'european' sounding tone compared to the brighter Asian made pianos. At the same time, the same factory were making pianos with the Yamaha branding on also, but these pianos are quite a lot more expensive for the same year and condition despite being essentially the same pianos inside

The Windsor model is 118cm high, so just a couple of cm shorter than a Yamaha U1. The tone and action are very similar to a Yamaha U1, but with very slightly more compact dimensions

2002/3 is one of the last few years of UK Yamaha/ Kemble production, making these pianos desirable as the last true English made pianos
